AT ST. MARY'S

SUNDAY

Christian Formation for Youth and Adults for 2007-2008

SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR ALL AGES
will meet from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. 
between Labor Day and Memorial Day

Youth Sunday School classes:

Pre-KINDERGARTEN
   taught by Michele Lyerly and Lauren Darnell (Luke Room)

1st, 2nd, & 3rd grades
   taught by Marti Hooten & Mary Wyatt (Matthew Room)

4th & 5th grades
    taught by Pam Vazquez (Mark Room)

6th, 7th, & 8th grades
   taught by Denise Wellman & Laura Ferry (John Room)

9th, 10th, 11th, & 12th grades
   taught by Jim Broome (Paul Room)

 

Adult Sunday School classes:

a. The Circle - Father Chris Clements will review and lead a discussion of the next Sunday’s Gospel (Mary Room).

b. The Rule of Life - Based on a Kerygma Bible Study called “Beginnings,” this will run for most of the program year. Interspersed throughout will be mini-courses from other programs, such as the Mayberry Series, and possibly some book reviews. This course will use multiple instructors including Deacon Jim Neuberger, Jack Burdett, Art DeGennaro, and Jim Broome (Moses Room).

c. Daughters of the King - During the fall, the Daughters of the King will conduct preparation study for those interested in becoming a member of this lay order of women committed to prayer, service and evangelism. During the spring, study will focus on enriching prayer life through Bible study, book reviews, and related discussions (Chapel).

 

MID-WEEK BIBLE STUDIES FOR ADULTS

  Beginnings is a Kerygma Bible study taught by Jack Burdett. The class will meet on Wednesday mornings from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in the Mary Room.  Please call the Church Office for the most current information.

Genesis is a men’s early Tuesday morning (7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.) and Friday (noon - 1:00 p.m.) Bible study. Choose either day to attend. This course will be taught by Father Blaney Pridgen will normally meet every other week in the Parish Hall. There will be a light breakfast and coffee at the Tuesday session.  Please call the Church Office for the most current information.

Tuesday evening Women's Bible study in the Mary Room. This course will be taught by Denise Wellman, and will meet from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Please call the Church Office for the most current information.

The Christian Formation Ministry sincerely hopes that this program will offer something for everyone. If you have any questions, please contact any of the instructors, or Patrick Caldwell -Youth Ministry, or Jack Burdett -Adult Ministry.

WEEK-DAY SERVICES ALL WEEK LONG

 St. Mary's offers Daily Prayer Services.  These are led by some of the laity, who have been through Diocesan training for Worship Leaders.  The service lasts about 20 minutes

Morning Prayer : 7:00 AM on Tuesday and Friday 
        9:00 AM on Saturday

Evening Prayer : 6:00 PM Monday and Thursday

This is a wonderful opportunity to stop by before or after work 
and have that visit with God you've been thinking about.

The Wednesday Healing Service and Eucharist
continues at 6:00 PM with one of our priests.
