What is Cursillo?
Cursillo is a movement
of the Church, and may be experienced in several denominations;
Lutheran, Catholic, Presbyterian, as well as Episcopalian. The
purpose is to help those in the church understand their individual
callings to be Christian Leaders. The leadership may be exercised
in work situations, in the family and social life, in leisure
activities, and within the Church environment. Leadership, in
Cursillo, does not mean power over others, but influence on
others; all of us need to be aware that we can exert a positive
influence on those around us.
Much information can be found at the Upper South Carolina Diocesan
Cursillo web site.. From there you can explore links that will take you
to the National Episcopal Cursillo, to Youth
"Happening", and other areas concerned with spiritual
growth that may be of interest to you and broaden your
horizons. When you have journeyed out, come back and talk to
a member who is involved with the Cursillo movement and can share
their personal experience in growth and enthusiastic
Christianity.

semi- alphabetical; not by Cursillo number. Included are "Cursillistas"
(Cursillo graduates) who were members of St. Mary's when they attended,
and
former members who have moved on to The Greater Life or other
churches. Several members were in other churches or dioceses when
they attended-- we still claim them!! If there are any omissions,
