Boy Scouts

St.Mary’s has been an enthusiastic sponsor of a Boy Scout troop virtually since its founding, with members and others serving as scout masters, troop mothers, and so on. Over the years we have been privileged to see a number of our young men become life and eagle scouts, and the troop has received recognition from the Boy Scouts of America for its activities.

We believe that the essentially Christian basis for the Boy Scout creed and principles is a vital expression of our message to youth in a troubling time in their lives, and we are proud of our troop’s success in embodying these values.
