Resources For Families

Recognizing the growing of families with younger children coming to St. Mary's, we have made a conscious effort to keep children in mind as we re-define our space. The well-equipped playground, the nursery and "cry room" in the sanctuary, the beautiful Children's Chapel, all are designed to be child-safe and child-friendly.

In addition, the events and activities at St. Mary's keep families in mind: nursery care is frequently provided, snacks include juice and cookies, children are invited to the font at baptisms, and so forth. The few events at which children would not be appropriate, such as the annual parish meeting, are clearly designated in advance so arrangements can be made.

Other resources include a family and children's section in the parish library, Child's Play, the Children's Gospel Experience at the 10:30 service, and perhaps most importantly, the loving and welcoming extended family of  St. Mary's. After all, it takes a church to raise a child.
