Choir

St. Mary’s has long been committed to a serious music program, under the current leadership of Frank Ballard, a musician with long experience in local and even national organist and choir-directing circles.

The senior choir has an all-volunteer membership of about twenty members, some of them with considerable music training. Mr. Ballard’s organ and piano accompaniment is frequently supplemented with amateur and professional instrumentalists, and the Sunday anthems and service music is carefully and lovingly prepared. In addition, seasonal programs are offered, and occasional guest choirs are invited to perform.

The children’s choirs have been active as well, including a trip to the National Cathedral to participate in a choral festival.

New members are always welcome.
