Wednesday Healing Services

St. Mary's believes in the power of prayer to heal the wounds from which we all suffer sometimes, and the Sacrament of Unction, or Healing, is offered to the parish and the community at large on Wednesdays at 6:00.

Those who feel so led are invited to the altar to share with a priest or other intercessor the pain, or loneliness, or fear which burdens them, and prayers are said for each of these concerns. Others may be invited to join in the anointing or laying on of hands, or they may simply pray in their seats or join in the singing of simple songs to guitar or other accompaniment.

The service concludes with Holy Communion. It is a quiet time of great power for many who participate.
